Office Location:

My office is located at Ormiston, Queensland, which is a bayside suburb of Brisbane. All appointments are at least an hour's duration. If we are making good progress I'm always happy to keep going for a little longer at no extra charge. Financial gain has never been my motivation for choosing counselling as my profession. I really do care about all my clients and want to help them regain control of their lives as quickly as possible. True happiness is being happy with who you are and happy and grateful for your body and your life.

Sessions cost $60.00 for a 1 hr session.

Office Hours:

I understand that work commitments may make it difficult to schedule appointments unless it is after work. I always endeavour to work in with you to find a time suitable for both of us. Late afternoons or evenings are fine and Saturdays are available upon request.

Distance Counselling:

Online or telephone counselling is available for distant clients. Email me and we can organise an arrangment suitable for both of us.

This week's Health and Fitness Tip

Dr Eric Braverman is a leading expert in antiaging medicine. He is the director of the Place for Achieving Total Health Medical Centers in New York City and Philadelphia. He has written two books, Younger You and The Edge Effect. Dr Braverman was interviewed in the Suzanne Somers book, "Breakthrough, 8 Steps to Wellness". He was asked whether he believes Diabetes is ever reversible. Dr Braverman answered,

"Type 2 is almost always reversible by weight loss, mood change, sleep improvement, diet - meaning fibre, and using our Younger You rainbow diet with all its vegetables, fruits, and spices. A big component to our diet is that we have people average three spices per meal. Meaning we have them put cayenne pepper on their brown rice, we have them put tumeric on their eggs, cinnamon in their yoghurt. We train people to get more out of their food by improving the density. Spices improve the density of nutritional foods. The more nutritious the food is, the more nutrient in it, the better. Every time you put three or four spices in a meal you have just upgraded your food. You have made it a superfood."

Ageing Gracefully and Happily. This Week's Tip

A study of 22,461 people by scientists from the University of Kuopio in Finland found that the people who were most satisfied with their lives lived longer. They defined life satisfaction as an "interest in life, happiness .... and general ease of living." Reporting in the American Journal of Epidemiology in 2000, they found that the men who were most dissatisfied with their lives were more than three times as likely to die of disease than those who were most satisfied.

It's really easy to become dissatisfied with our lives. After all, there's always someone who has a nicer home, a nicer car..... etc etc. The old saying is ...."The grass is always greener on the other side". Of course there's often hidden weeds in that green grass that a casual onlooker cannot see from a distance.

We really need to focus on watering our own grass and keeping it green and healthy and remember to be grateful for what we do have. These feelings of gratitude and satisfaction will keep us happier, healthier and more youthful.
